Katherine Carnival Report: 2009
Once again our club
enjoyed a successful trip to Katherine on the weekend for their annual
Birthday Swimming Carnival. Congratulations to all swimmers who traveled
to Katherine, especially our young swimmers for whom this was their
first trip away with the team.

2009-10 Junior
Excellence Program Criteria...
Swimming Australia is proud to be
continuing the Australian Junior Excellence Program into 2010. The
2009/2010 criteria and times are now available. The Australian
Junior Excellence Program (JX) recognizes, rewards and encourages junior
swimmers who, through their development of aquatic skills and fitness,
achieve a high standard of swimming excellence.
Under the program, swimmers aged between
9 and 13, who accomplish times set by Swimming Australia, qualify at
Gold, Silver, Bronze or Green standard depending on their best
performance/s during the season.
For doing so, qualifiers receive
special recognition by way of: a JX Cap (9-10 years) or a JX T-shirt (11-13 years), a
certificate of achievement, a motivational poster, publication of
the swimmers name on the Swimming Australia website and participation in
a JX Coaching clinic to be held in Katherine in October prior to the
Katherine Carnival.
